Consider social & cultural activities and enrichment workshops as the way for you to be a local and feed your curiosity. There is no better way to enrich your new gained friendship by going through these new experiences! Check out our activities this year!

High Table Dinner 

As a prestigious dining tradition originated from centuries-old British collegial universities, the HKU High Table Dinner is a unique opportunity for inspiring conversations and cultural exchanges! Put on the Green Gown and cheers!

Ding Ding! TramOramic

Ding Ding! Let’s hop on the century-old tramway to explore the Island in the evening. This unique 1920s-style open-top tram will bring you a fascinating sightseeing tour.

Tired with the city’s hustle and bustle? Enjoy some sea breeze and under the sun! And what’s more exciting than getting a bargain in the open air street market in Stanley? Let’s go!

Old VS New: Man Mo Temple and PMQ

Take this walking tour to “Old Town Central”: Man Mo Temple – A must-see quaint and colorful Chinese temple Vs PMQ – a creative hub revitalising from the old and now a home to 100+ local young create-preneurs!

Hike to the Peak

Keep yourself active and go for a hike from HKU to the most iconic Victoria Peak with your buddies. Enjoy the world-famous cityscapes while appreciating the nature and the beautiful sunset!

Island Getaway: Cheung Chau

Western Dining Etiquette – Essential Basics by Desmond So

Have you ever been unsure about the utensil settings when dining? Where to place your napkin when leaving the table? Join this interactive class to learn all the basics at the Western dining table and practice over a three-course dinner with Mr. Desmond So, host of luxury-lifestyle television programme in Hong Kong. You will feel more confident and at ease in your next luncheon or date.  Bring an appetite to learn!

Modern Social Etiquette – Establishing a stand out impression and image by Desmond So

How to look proper and act properly  in any occasion? Mr. Desmond So, host of luxury-lifestyle television programme in Hong Kong, will teach you how to think and behave like a professional, from handshake to farewell, from posture to networking. Acquire the skills which will last for your lifetime in this highly interactive workshop.

Want to learn some basic Cantonese greetings to make a local Hongkongese friend? Lecturer from the School of Chinese, being a native Cantonese speaker will teach you how to meet and greet in the most interactive and fun way.

Sunset Yoga & Meditation

Take a relaxing time and refresh your mind by participating yoga. Bring your body and mind together and enjoy the moment in meditation. Namaste!
